I thinks for too many years too many groups have been claiming tax-exempt status that don’t deserve it. And regardles of the fraud or the group I think of courseeany fraud attempts should be explored. However what I don’t want to see is a Republican attempt to weakened the IRS to protect their self-interest and … Continue reading

There are certain rules required when creating a 501 c 3 group one being you have to file taxes and another would be you must have a EIN (Employer ID Number). From a Recent blog about how Governor’s Haslam’s brother and the family company have banked off of the backs of the People of Tennessee, by being given Grants and Subsidies, I could help but notice that the Charles Koch’s foundation has invested in Pilot Travel Centers over $11 million. For one Pilot Travel Centers is … Continue reading

That said South Carolina Republicans goal is really just to throw the Federal Government in jail, however imagine my surprise that some fourteen South Carolina House of Representatives who think a Federal Mandate is illegal are also sponsoring another very current House bill with Democratic members of the South Carolina Legislature that tells citizens they will need to purchase health care services. And Futhermore the bill happily accepts the Federal Funding for Health Care. Continue reading

How many small companies or other established companies never even had a chanced to get a six figures in grant and subsidies paid for by the state of Tennessee? How many small businesses will lose and have lost out?
I have updated this blog to include the campaign donations showing these companies as the place James A. Haslam II is involved with. This updated information is to notes the Haslam family are directly involved with these companies. Previous information shows the monthly payments Haslam’s family received. This information comes from Tennessee documents.
I think for the majority of us would find it unjust if a Governor who has investments in a company that has been awarded grants in the state he is supposed to be running. Well it appears Governor Bill Haslam would be that guy. Currently Governor in-spite of stepping down from the role of President it is more likely than not that Governor still has some percentage of ownership or investment in company, especially since this is a family business. For one Governor Haslam father is the founder of Pilot Corporations. Currently Governor Bill Haslam’s brother James ‘Jimmy’ Haslam III is CEO of Pilot J. Pilot J is currently being investigated by the FBI concerning taking advantage of smaller trucking companies involving fraudulent fuel rebates. A Georgia Trucking company has a class action suit against Pilot J.

How did the Supreme Court rule in favor of a organization that has been ducking and diving its responsibiliy for years. They came into court with unclean hands but left victorious. I have included that document concerning the children of Tennessee in poverty. In these students both reports they reveal that poverty has a negative impact on a student’s education. In fact one report goes even farther to say that not only those in poverty will be effected but also students that who are not poor but go to schools that are in an environment surrounded by poverty will have lower test scores. Tennessee guidelines are similar to other states concerning mental abuse. Being poor aren’t a matter of abuse. A poor child can be well loved just like any child no matter how much money a family may have. Being poor are a matter of circumstances, not abuse. Abuse however is something people willingly inflict on someone. … Continue reading

Was it too much? Do reports concerning Chicago students and decisions made around 1999 have more impact than anyone may have realized? Unlike the news we hear concerning Chicago today in 1998 there were reports of significant drop in unemployment, gang violence, and gun violence. In 1999 there would be even more reports that show gang violence was decreasing. What some consider as education reform has really been the fuel that has put so many students in harm’s way. As this type of education reform increases, so does the anger. Updated March 30, 2012 I have included information from 2011 that shows this growing gang anger can be directed back to education reform decisions made around such years as 1999. Continue reading

Dinkins Charter School has been closed. Current … Continue reading
If that’s the case then a corporation could give all their money to the charitable foundation to avoid paying taxes and just have the tax-exempt foundation pay for everything for the corporation, or then not to make it not so obvious, the tax-free exempt foundation pays a small cost of something where it isnt so obvious.
Second problem, which is probably the first problem the family members that make up this foundation board. As you see will see that almost near the bottom I have added what would be considered a Corporate Foundation guidelines. And in those Corporate Foundation guidelines it states both activities as mentioned in this blog would be prohibited.
Who are Koch Brothers, you may ask. Well they are two brothers, who own several companies, like Koch Industries which is an oil and gas company. They are the political force behind the Republicans, Conservative, Libertarians, Tea Party agenda. Politicians may come and go, but they remain to lead the way in pushing the Libertarian, Republicans, and Conservative, and Tea Party agenda. I still can’t find any other corporations that did the same. We know Koch brothers don’t like taxes anyway. So how is that fair and not make us suspicious. The Koch Brothers did this for several years. We can only look at taxes beginning from 2001 because foundations did not have to provide them prior to that year. So the Koch Brothers could have been funding this group for decades prior to 2001. To get earlier records it takes a little more red tape, and only then you may only can get records going back to 1987. Could you imagine if all corporation created tax-exempt foundations and then you funnel that tax-exempt money back from the foundation to pay for certain cost to the Parent company employees by avoiding to pay taxes. Talk about not paying your Fair Share, and raising a Red flag, what other money could be funnel back. Like any company a foundation have their own operation costs, and with their own operation costs, so why would they need to turn around to feed the corporation that created. I would think a foundation and a parent company/the corporation that created it would have separate operation costs so questions won’t be raised. Considering the Koch Brothers, involvement in politics, supreme court cases, funding Conservative Think-Tank around the countries, lobbying, etc, etc, etc. The list is long of their questionable activity. How does a Charitable Foundation pay back a Billionaire company? That foundation operation’s cost should be separated from corporation due to its tax-exempt status. This information is concerning one of the foundations other own Koch foundations were not looked at. Just this one….
One quick way of course to stop this corporate take over from the people of the country led by two billionaire brothers and anyone else with a similar agenda is to stand up and vote these politicians out of office who push their agenda. However we can’t stop there because there are laws here and there such as Citizen’s United that have done much harm in stamping out the voice of the people. It means we have to pay also attention to politicians and judges running for office and commission appointments and judges that appointed to office on the state. local, and federal level. Simply stated as voters we should be Voting, following the money spent on elections and lobbying, watching, and participating in the discussion every chance you get on all bills being voted on, all Elections, all Appointments, etc., etc., etc. from the local, state, and the federal level. All of these things plus those not mentioned have effects on our daily lives. Continue reading
Many people do not know who the Koch Brothers are, well they are behind the politics you don’t see in this country. For the most part the American people only hear about what their politicians do. Well politicians may come and go, but the Koch Brothers remain and have been around for years making these Billionaires even more powerful because they are the established machine running things behind the scene. Well how about a major oil and gas company, like Koch Industries spending millions politics to make certain legislatures, while also bringing lawsuits up and down our court systems where they find up in our United States Supreme Court And of course these cases are cases that benefit and support the Libertarian or Conservative ideologies and agenda. One of the cases this group is bringing would be Shelby County v. Holder. Just like Grover Norquist’s Tax Pledge was a coördinated effort of one man to stop Conservative leaders from raising taxes there has been for years a coördinated effort of conservatives to push the political agenda in our court systems. Koch Brothers helped to provide the operation cost or research of the Pacific Legal Institute,;legal Conservative organization group bring Supreme Court cases across the country. How long the Koch brothers have funded this group is another question raised, because for right now we only access going back to 2001. To get earlier records it takes a little more red tape, and only then you may only can get records going back to 1987. I imagine that Conservatives talk about government being in your business and yet for decades they have pushing Supreme Court cases to promote their political agenda. There is a reason why the Conservative, Republican, Libertarian can’t get beyond the game of politics to promote the agenda of the people. They have two billionaire brothers running things.

Update a link at the bottom that was not working has now been fixed. This document is concerning a report that was sponsored by this think-Tank on behalf of the man behind the push to get rid of the Voting Rights Act. The group held an event concerning this. I have also updated my list of Scalia’s involvement with this Think-Tank. I will further update if more is found.
Justice Scalia has I involvement spanning from 1977 to late 2012 with this Conservative Think-Tank. That very Think-Tank prior to 2009 held an event that was named “Is the Voting Rights Act Constitutional?” The man pushing the Supreme Court was also the participant at this event. Continue reading

Why does it not surprise me that the Koch Brothers have lead the way on lobbying a bill that demands transparency for those who benefited from a company. There is a reason why we seek accountability between special interest groups and lobbyist; we seek to hold that are elective officials are working for the public and not for the frill and thrills that lobbyist may throw their way. I can see now a new reason Grover’s Norquist lobbyist organization Americans for Tax Reforms funds were down. He found a new reason to funnel money as a charity. Koch Industries through it’s subsidiary Flint-Hill will profit from the Enbridge, Kinder-Morgan and TransCanada’s Keystone XL however I wanted to take a another glance and a different approach to see on what possible deeper connection that could exist or underlying partnership, quieted partnership that the Koch Brothers could have that would suggest the Keystone XL they will benefit from the Enbridge project. Upon further research it appears there are at least three deals created that don’t have anything to do with Koch’s Flint Hill’s, but show Koch Industries has a variety of partnerships with Enbridge and its partner, Enterprise Product Partners who have a similar project to the Keystone XL expansion.
