I decided to revisit this blog concerning Nikki Haley trying to remove legislature that said states would provide state IDs to inmates once time served. In a prior blog I mentioned how it made no sense Governor Nikki Haley supported the police racial profiling anyone who looks like they would be an illegal immigrant. It … Continue reading
According to MADD ,Mothers against Drunk-driving, South Carolina ranks as one of the worst states for DUIs. South Carolina ranks number 1 for domestic abuse. How many of the cases involved alcoholic or drug abuse. We know Governor Nikki Haley won’t budge to expand Medicaid for all citizens so it’s quite astonishing to see … Continue reading
It be a mistake to think just because the guest in attendance at a fundraiser for Nikki Haley didn’t work for the Georgia Port Authority didn’t have an interest in the Savannah Harbor Expansion. Georgia Port Authority Chairman James Balloun isn’t the only one, besides McKenna Long and Aldridge who share an interest in Georgia’s coast. One of Nikki Haley’s donor who turns out to be an even bigger fish than the Port Authority.
I recently found an old article and this particular major guess who was in attendance at Nikki Haley fundraiseer had this to say early 2000 at the Savannah Westin Harbor Resort “We cannot fail to take advantage of the spotlight on our state and coastal Georgia,”. “We’re going to have the governor, community and corporate leaders talking to them to make sure we tell them about the great things that make Georgia a unique investment for economic development.”
With that many reporters around, some of them are bound to write feature stories on Savannah and Coastal Georgia, He and others are there to make sure those stories are spun in a positive light.
This overlooked donor has been described before as the perfect person when it comes to show casing Georgia’s Coast Continue reading
What kind of Governor takes the time to strike out 22 lines of provisions that would have audtited local county treasurers, municipal treasurers, magistrate, county clerks, etc. to make sure they allocated crime victim funds properly? Well its certainly not the kind of person who hears the needs of the citizens of this state, … Continue reading
Governor Nikki Haley says she is kicking out unions, well instead of getting a gun for Christmas someone should have given the Governor several cases where the U.S. Supreme Court says a state cannot interfere in regards to Unions. Governor Nikki Haley and many Republican and Conservative leaders in regards to the U.S. Supreme Court … Continue reading
Recently in another blog I mentioned the coincidence that the Georgia Department of Transportation who had an interest in the Savannah Port Expansion had just hired McKenna Long & Aldridge who would two months later give a fundraiser for Nikki Haley which is believed by both South Carolina Republicans and Democrats to have influenced her decision in favoring another state (Georgia) over her own. Perhaps then it is another coincidence that the Georgia Department of Transportation hired McKenna and Aldridge only a few days before officially they had gotten a grant involving the Georgia Port Authority and the county where the Savannah port, and the city of Savannah are located.
Why would a lobbyist from another state just give Nikki Haley a fundraiser?
And it just so happens she would soon after make that state very happy with out little regards that it would her own state
Located on the Georgia DOT website it says as follow:
The Port of Savannah, the nation’s fastest growing port and fourth largest container port, handles 80 percent of the ship-borne cargo entering Georgia. The Georgia Department of Transportation became the local sponsor for the Savannah Harbor on December 8, 1999.
As local sponsor, Georgia DOT is responsible for:
Providing easements and rights-of-way for upland disposal areas
Providing 35% of the cost required to raise the dikes at the upland disposal areas in the Savannah Harbor
Proposed Savannah Harbor Expansion
International shipping will enter a new phase by 2014. That’s when the expected completion of the widening of the Panama Canal will result in a new breed of “megacontainer” ships moving through its locks—vessels that can carry up to twice as much cargo as current ones.
This means shippers from around the world could choose to go directly to Savannah, the biggest port by volume in the South. But in order to attract these larger ships, the 35.6-mile stretch of Savannah harbor and river must be deepened to a proposed 48 feet. According to the Army Corps of Engineers this could be done with minimal environmental impact and at a cost of $551 million. Continue reading
Before Nikki Haley term even began as Governor she was already replacing some of the Budget and Board Control Members. Around January 7 it was announced governor-elect Nikki Haley was replacing members of the Budget and control board. It would be a mistake to assume Nikki Haley hasn’t been aware of the board members activity especially concerning money to one of Nikki Haley’s favorite group the Chamber of Commerce. Since Nikki Haley has been in office she has proposed legislation giving funding to lobbyist, this business interest group, the Chamber of commerces around the the state. What the Budget and Control Board did would seem to fit in with Nikki Haley’s business theme Continue reading

Coincedence Nikki Haley vetoes a bill by South Carolina lawmakers preventing the dredging of the Savannah port after attending a fundraiser in Georgia. Further look into the Georgia Department of Transportation in the Savannah Port Dredging. like the Georgia Port Authority certainly has some interest in expanding the Port of Savannah, so did the GDOT. … Continue reading
The people of South Carolina should know Governor Nikki Haley is talking maybe(s). In comparison when the White House say they have created jobs that actually refers to people working these jobs. When Nikki Haley talks about creating jobs, she is acutally talking about maybe(s). Maybe(s) in some cases that have fallen through and maybe(s) the people of South Carolina would have years to wait for.
South Carolina President Obama added 8.9 million jobs ovr 49 momths; 2.3 million jobs in the Past year; and 192,000 jobs in March and Governor People are acually working these jobs. Goveror Nikki Haley is telling you and selling you ‘Maybe(s)’. Governor Nikki Haley has given companies what is described as the most generous tax incentive (giveaway of all states). A tax incentive that allows large corporations to have 10 years to create for 40 jobs.
If the President had did that, he would be out of office. Continue reading
I was recently looking at some of South Carolina’s expenditures from the Stimulus or the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act when I saw this.
An irresponsible use money from the Stimulus or American Recovery and Reinvestment Act that state an agency in 2013 used several thousands of dollars to fund memberships to an organization who uses as their source the American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC). The Recovery act was to create jobs, but apparently South Carolina has earmarked each year $26,000 of tax payer dollars for strictly Memberships and beside that $26,000 each year for a membership money was also provided for traveling involving this organization. In 2013 it said those funds came from the Recovery Act, but I question if the so call earmarked labeled money also came from the Recovery Act Money. I have included that 25 page book by ALEC which included 25 new model legislatures written in 2013 that this group used as their source of information and a statement that shows this group like ALEC has also been involved in drafting legislature.
South Carolinians being laid off, South Carolinians feeling threatened they won’t get their unemployment check either because the state said they were out of money or Republicans in the U.S. Congress was up to their usual tactics; South Carolinians dealing with a Governor Nikki Haley who wanted to drug test the unemployed before they could receive their benefits, while in 2012-2013 South Carolina had the greatest increase in homeless of all states, etc.
And yet a state agency has no problem with taking the tax payers dollars from the Stimulus or Recovery Act funds for some groups membership. (so they can be like American Legislative Exchange Council (ALEC)
Did this agency lay off any of its employees?
Yes and in more than one year.
Yes the very same year they used several thousands from the Presidents Recovery Act for membership dues they laid off workers at their very own agency.
As usual Nikki Haley appointees enjoying the people’s money.
South Carolina’s Sea Consortium has been up hill battle with Governor Nikki Haley to get funding, since their program funding has been vetoed. However if you look at funding sent to North Carolina which is apart of the South Atlantic Ocean Alliance that then Governor Mark Sanford made an alliance with other Southeastern Governor you will see that Nikki Haley did not cut funding. In fact she increased it drastically. When Mark Sanford was in office North Carolina State University got $3600, well since Nikki Haley became Governor North Carolina State University got over $206,000. South Carolina’s Sea Consortium which has projects involving only South Carolina without being in any South Atlantic Ocean Alliance got its funding vetoed by Governor Nikki Haley.
The Governors’ South Atlantic Alliance will leverage resources from each state and supporting partners…. Continue reading
Many South Carolinian don’t realize tax dollars are paying for the workforce in other states. NJ and NY Port Authority, the Georgia Department of Transportation, and now the latest blog about funds given to the Kansas Department of Commerce. South Carolina has everyone of these departments and all of them need desperately funding. Now that the SCDEW is laying off its employees, maybe Governor Nikki Haley and her appointee have thought it was poor judgement to contract out services (outsource jobs) with the Kansas Department of Commerce for Data Processing when you have employees and citizens of South Carolina who could have done the job. Continue reading
Nikki Haley doesn’t recommend state employees to get a raise, as usual vetoes and proposed cuts to needed South Carolina Programs, and yet Millions in Vendor payments were made for Contractual service that was outsourced to the Georgia Department of Transportation, while the SCDOT was almost bankrupt. Oddly enough contractual service that involved millions you … Continue reading
More than one case and they are still pending. Coincidence same month with in a days that Georgia DOT gives Georgia Port Authority land in Jasper County, SC; Jasper County of South Carolina have one pending case against Georgia DOT; South Carolina Port Authority have three pending court cases against Georgia DOT over Jasper County property; and in 2011 Georgia Port Authority Chairmen with all cases still Pending gives Nikki Haley Money. Governor Nikki Haley’s campaign donor, the Koch Brother’s company is one of the companies Nikki Haley says will give South Carolina jobs. Current Nikki Haley is Governor, and she claims she is creating jobs and she’s kicking out the Unions. I would … Continue reading

While in January 2014 Judge Michael Baxley wrote in a judgement that South Carolina’s prison system are underfunded in helping the need of prisoners with mental health, also in January Nikki Haley made a budget proposal that cut extra funding that would help provide funding for the construction of new beds. A lack of Beds … Continue reading
If I told you that a person who opposed the KKK and provided funding to African-American schools some of you may not think that this person is a racist or that this person wouldn’t want your African-American child to attend the same public school as theirs. Where are they now? Coincidence the same name, but did Nikki Haley hire former employee from the family business? Not very much is known about these former employees besides the fact Nikki Haley was accountant and no taxes were turned into the IRS involving employees. The last address address appears to be a home address that is now up for sale in Lexington. Governor Nikki Haley won’t expand medicaid to South Carolina residents make even lower the cost of premiums. Governor Nikki Haley and Republican leaders would have you think anything federal funded is bad? If that was so then why are Nikki Haley and South Carolina Republican leaders investing the states retirement fund in a company that handles only medicaid and medicare health plans. (No private insurance here). Continue reading
Nikki Haley and any Republican leader in South Carolina shouldn’t dare to talk about the President’s Affordable Health Care website that handle millions of visitors, when the South Carolina Ethics Commission’s website couldnt handle at least 1 person visiting their website with it going down. Is it a hack, a block, (or even an update or an upgrade done on the South Carolina Ethics Commission website that took place after 9:33 PM tonight). Continue reading

501 c 3 groups can’t support candidates and they definitely can’t make score cards that are clearly slanted and are bi-partisan, but apparently that’s exactly what the Koch Brother’s American’s Prosperity Foundation has done, and on the very top of that score card it says ‘Americans for Prosperity Foundation’ and right below it says ‘Scoring’. … Continue reading
Since there seems to be still interest in Grover Norquist’s list I have included the two most recents ones. ATR removes the old list to replace it with a new list of state signers and a new congress. Once again looking at Governor Nikki Haley’s proposal for Schools I look at the expanded funding for virtual charter schools, and I couldn’t help but note the money being made from these schools. For-profit charter schools are absolutely prohibited in South Carolina, however upon closer look virtual charter schools it shows some are being operated … Continue reading
So once again what is the real purpose of South Carolina use of Blue Coat. Nikki Haley and her supporters for guns in bars and restaurants don’t mind taking their Freedom of Speech Rights, but don’t mind supporting a company that practices censoring over the internet. Two Coincidences today, I could not help but notice: … Continue reading
Data over a decade ago show that some of the same counties with high domestic abuse are some of the same counties in recent data reports with a high number of domestic abuse cases, so Governor Nikki Haley can’t claim there was a sudden DECREASE in domestic cases in these surrounding counties. In fact there has been an increase for some of these areas; and yet Governor Nikki Haley has given 50% less in fewer funds; while giving more to other organizatins for other areas of counties who show significantly less, by thousands in fewer cases for domestic abuse. Apparently Governor Nikki Haley and her office didn’t read any reports, because if they did or if they truly cared I think the last areas you would decrease funding would be in areas with a high number of domestic abuse cases.
Governor Nikki Haley spent $127,000 going to Europe on South Carolina citizens money and she gives millions in incentive package to companies such as the $120 millions to one particular company who said they had NO guarnatee of that they would be expanding in South Carolina; she proposed an unlimited budget to a task force made up by donors and lobbyist; she has no problem giving yearly $50,000 to another lobbyist organization that is known to be under investigation by the FBI and IRS for Recreation and tourism; and some how for a few days a year she doesn’t think it worth it to make sure the funds are there for young people with physical disabilities and chronic illness to have a camp just for them to go to. Is it a violation using a federally and state funded institution to plan conferences; host conferences; provide building location; use tuitions and tax payer’s money, uses school address; use business hours, to represent partisan ideals/politics of political organizations and think tanks who come together to discussed issues that concern them. The Koch Brothers have been known to host events to discuss their latest agenda. No surprise the Koch Brothers’s Charles Koch Foundation has a seat on the APEE’s executive board. Continue reading
Just like other programs for African-Americans, the poor; Nikki Haley has eliminated programs, juggle around funding or has either put a very, very smaller cap on funds. And if you see one of the governor’s latest proposal then you don’t have to wonder why a stated funded university such as Clemson has on their website asking for donations to fund their student’s tuition.
In 2013 the New York Times reported a 72% increase from 2011-12 from 2007 with students being diagnosed with autism, Asperger syndrome, or a related developmental disorder development disorders. In 2012 the Atlantic wrote an article titled “Why So Many Babies Are Still Being Born With Down Syndrome.” I think clearly the title recognizes a need for more help, but that need for help doesn’t appear to be something Governor Nikki Haley has recognized.
If special needs students were a charter, private school, or home bound schooling Governor Nikki Haley would have come up with a voucher or tax-exemption so these parents could send their children to school, but since they are not a charter, private, or home bound schools these students have been left out in the cold by Governor Nikki Haley. If it wasn’t Grover Norquist’s tax pledge it was ALEC, and once again another group is going after the education system in this country to push their pro-business and anti-union, anti-people economics. As mentioned in previous blog Governor Nikki Haley is getting rid of a gifted program that is a part of public schools that has proved to be a success for all ethnic groups. This program has been so much a success that there has been an increase in the number of students entering into the gifted program in South Carolina. That increase of students entering into such advanced programs also means the need for more money; however the funding for this program has not increased with the number of students entering into the program and now Governor Nikki Haley plans are to eliminate that program so that she can fund private and home bound schooling.
If public schools were a business, Governor Nikki Haley would have been offering them bond incentives to expand rather than eliminating such program.
A program that has been recognized nationally, for its aggressiveness to help African-American students and the poor Continue reading

Since Mark Sanford left the Governor’s Office, Governor Nikki Haley has gutted the Medicaid services for the poor and the youngest of society year after year non-stop. In the mean time she has benefited herself and her campaign donors.
Watch the growing numbers and section, Governor Nikki Haley proposes to be taken out. Year after year Nikki Haley has expanded her resolve to cut even deeper into Medicaid and the Health and Human Services. I have included a comparison to see how Governor Nikki Haley proposal are cuts that wipe out whole sections concerning Medicaid and the Health and Human Service. You will find that once Nikki Haley has marked out whole sections she moves on to a different section to cut everything out of it. Year after Year…
There are several ways something can become Pay to Play and in the case of Nikki Haley, the following definition and subject matter applies: taken from Wikipedia it states Typically, the payer (an individual, business, or organization) makes campaign contributions to public officials, party officials, or parties themselves, and receives political or pecuniary benefit such as no-bid government contracts, influence over legislation, political appointments or nominations, special access or other favors. The contributions, less frequently, may be to nonprofit or institutional entities, or may take the form of some benefit to a third party, such as a family member of a governmental official.
