The new owner plans to reposition the hotel, located at 1515 Rhode Island Ave. NW, and fold it into Hilton’s Curio brand, according to Mike Depatie, managing partner of KHP. Curio is a collection brand of independently named hotels that still fall within the hotelier’s reservation system.
Hilton Worldwide (NYSE: HLT) launched Curio in 2014 and the collection now has 23 properties. The hotel will be renamed, although what it will be called is also to be determined. This will be the first hotel in the Curio collection in Greater Washington.
