Koch Industries Direct and Deep Ties into the Business of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce

If you seen the US. Chamber of Commerce’s lobbying practice, then you know CEO Tom Donohue had lobbied against what you the 99% of American would find important. It the U.S. Chamber of Commerce hasn’t lobbied politicians on the behalf of the richest entities of America such as the oil and gas industries to the banking industries he has been involved in supporting law cases that would have gone against most of Americans. Preventing you from having your day in court. For instance the U.S. Chamber of Commerce heavily supported and pushed for the Supreme Court case decision that makes it harder for most Americans to file a Class Action Lawsuit against a major corporation.

I should add the United States Chamber of Commerce is a major lobbyist who lobbies mostly on Conservative, Republican, or GOP party issues.

The U.S. of Chamber of Commerce spends billions on lobbying, millions in campaign donations, and not to forget the millions spent on attack ads. In 2010, President Obama called out the U.S. Chamber of Commerce for its attack ads. There has been suspision over foreign contributions being made to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. The U.S Chamber of Commerce has chambers in countries all over the world.

Of course, in the midst of all this sits Koch Industries.

Coincidently Koch Industries Senior Vice President, General Council and Secretary, Mark V. Holden sits on the board of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s legal council. Mark Holden has been with Koch Industries since 1995. Holden has been listed with his title and role at Koch Industries; in other words he represents Koch Industries. Besides documented lobbying of Koch Industries on certain bills it comes not as a surprise when it appears Koch Industries lobbies and influences politics off and on the books. I guess it’s a coincidence that the Koch Industries who has been caught on tape hosting a gathering for millionaires to donate their money in going after the President sits on a very important board involving the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

The Koch Brothers have been around for years, but no real spotlight was out there that said specifically they are leading the way and are behind a majority of political machines, laws and bills that extend from your federal to states, and of course not to forget their political contributions, but everything points to them as leading the Republican party even though they are libertarian. In the past Koch Industries was group together like other energy companies trying to influence laws, when the thing is a very bright light should have been shining on them for a long time. Like Grover Norquist they worked the 50 states of this country so there was always something to benefit them.

In 2010 Jamie Court wrote an article saying that several oil and gas companies sat on the Institute for Legal board as reported in a 990 IRS Tax Reform of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. He mentions companies like EXXon, Chevron and Koch Industries. He gives us a link involving a case between EXXon and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, but that page has since been removed. Coincidently that is sometimes also why I will download the complete information or image to support my statement just in case someone tries to remove a page or break the link to that page.

In my opinion this once obscured information that looked at the oil and gas companies in general really sheds light on this once less known Billionaire brothers and opens a window on just how much power the Koch brothers really have and a glimpse at how far they could go to hold advantage over everyone and everything.

The Koch brothers and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce may think a like but they don’t want you to know they are working on the same team. They want you to believe they are worlds a part operating and carving out their own path, but this is just more evidence of the influence of the Koch Brothers trying to run the lives of Americans, and when people refer to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce they really don’t know who they are talking about.

As reported in 2011 Mother’s Jones article through actual audio tape at a fundraiser held by the Koch brothers, Charles Koch had this to say involving the President:

“We have Saddam Hussein,” declared billionaire industrialist Charles Koch, apparently referring to President Barack Obama as he welcomed hundreds of wealthy guests to the latest of the secret fundraising and strategy seminars he and his brother host twice a year. The 2012 elections, he warned, will be “the mother of all wars.”

Yes and sitting, besides Tom Donohue President and CEO of the US Chambers is Koch Industries own lawyer, Mark Holden who by they way attacks and is a spokesperson who goes after those that go after his employer.

Institute for Legal Reform (ILR) was founded by the US Chamber Institute for Legal Reform in 1998. The ILR lobbies against trial lawyers, tort reform, security litigation, and go after anything that would would give the average citizens more rights, means or access to going after major corporations.

The U.S. Chamber of Commerce lobbying is endless. The U.S. Chamber of Commerce operates around the world and the money spent just on lobbying is easily in the billions and their in the midst of it all are the Koch Brothers.
