Donald J. Trump has little respect for the arts. After promising to give the Metropolitan Museum of Art the piece from historical demolished building; Donald J. Trump calls the $200,000 panel sculptures worthless and has little in art merit and smashes it.
For a moment just imagine your feelings if someone willfully smashed $200,000 in art work you were promised to received. For the museums where valuable art works are stolen at least there is hope, that one day it’ll be found, but not in the case of the Metropolitan Museum of Art. The three piece semi-nude Goddess 15-foot bas-relief sculptures was a part of the Bonwit Teller building of 1929. Trump Towers would be developed on this historical location.
In the article it goes on tell of how city officials were upset because Donald Trump had gotten 90% in abatement for many projects and yet he smashes to pieces a valuable sculpture.
Metropolitan Museum of Art of New York is the largest museum in the United States.
