Grand Island Man Sentenced to 100 Months in Prison
United States Attorney Deborah R. Gilg announced that John Holroyd, age 42, of Grand Island, Nebraska, was sentenced today, by the Honorable Richard Kopf to a term of imprisonment of 100 months, to be followed by five years of supervised release, and he was ordered to pay a $100 special assessment. Holroyd pled guilty in March of this year to distributing at least five grams or more of actual methamphetamine, a charge that is punishable by at least five years’ imprisonment. Holroyd sold a police informant at least 9.5 grams of actual methamphetamine on June 9, 2011.
This case was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Central Nebraska Drug and Safe Streets Task Force.
