Grover’s Norquist’s American For Tax Reform Lobbyist Funds in Over a Decade, Reaches its Lowest in 2011

Republicans trying to erase their name from a pledge by Grover Norquist doesn’t erase the fact Republicans have voted against for Wall Street and have voted for Tax breaks breaks for the rich while over 8 million people became unemployed. Republicans supported these derivatives for year tax breaks to the rich but when it came to them voting to put Elizabeth Warren in Protection of Consumers they were all against that. It doesn’t erase the fact what Republican call fixing the economy go after the entitlement programs that the rich can afford to do with our but most Americans can’t.

According to information from the Center for Responsive politics in the last 20 years the American’s for Tax Reform their lobbying is down.  This chart was obtain through the opensecret websites.

ATR, in 1999, received major donations from Phillip Morris, the Mississippi Band of Choctaw Indians (a group represented by the controversial lobbyist Jack Abramoff), Microsoft, Time Warner, and Pfizer. Phillip Morris contributed $685,000, and the Choctaw Indians, $360,000.

Specifically Americans for tax reform lobbying income was $390,000, far down compare to all the 20 years at least they have operating.  However that is not to say American for Tax Reform couldn’t be lobby under a different name, because there are actual other groups associated with  American Tax Reform.

If certainly American’s Tax Reform lobbying is down their other groups waiting in line to receive funding.  The U.S. Chamber of Commerce still is the Republican Parties biggest lobbyist in their back pocket. ATR is a 501(c)(4) organization.
Interesting the only client that appears to be American Tax Reform, but as you see above according to the chart someone was giving money. Most Lobbyists have different clients listed not themselves. It certainly comes into question who was giving money to American For Tax Reforms in the last twenty years. The only client showing or Norquist appears in 1998 and Microsoft Corporations was his client, but no specific issue or bills appear that he supported for Microft, corp in 1998.

In-spite what appears to be Microsoft is no longer a client, Norquist still annouced that Microsoft hiring Suhail Khan was becoming director for external affairs for Microsoft in April 2011. Suhail Khan is described as a corporate lobbyist.

Grover G. Norquist, Christopher Butler, Kelly Cobb, Martha Corrao, Ryan Ellis, Christopher Prandoni, and Kelsey Zahourek are all lobbyist for American for Tax reform in 2011.
